This is the personal blog of Tim Eck II. I am a seminarian studying for the diocese of Metuchen at the Pontifical North American College or NAC. Before I entered the seminary, I studies at Virginia Tech and got my degree in Computer Science. Here you’ll find post about my goings on in life and various reflections on those same happenings. However, on account of being a seminarian and so busy with formation, I’m not quite sure how regularly I will be posting, so either check back regularly, or subscribe with your email to the newsletter to the right or follow the rss feed for the site found on the the right also.
Why the Name
The name of the website Vebum Caro Factum Est comes from John 1:14 which means “[And] the Word was made flesh”. The gospel of John is my favorite gospel, and the prologue is so incredibly rich. While praying upon what name I should give this blog, this verse came to made. I could spend my whole life meditating on this first chapter alone and not fully explore it. The whole of the mystery of the gospel I can be summed up in these word, God deigned to become incarnate and dwell among us. Out of His great love for us, God came among us to reconcile us to Himself. And thanks be to God that He did.
